Demonstrate your commitment to mental health, Transition House, and our community by attending our annual concert fundraiser on January 10. This year, several noted local bands will gather to celebrate D.C.’s role as one of the first and most influential punk rock scenes in the United States.

The January event will also showcase the work of local artists, who will be on hand for those wishing to discuss or purchase their pieces. Charitable organizations will also be represented, including We Are Family DC, which will be collecting nonperishable food donations. After holiday giving winds down, organizations often find that food scarcity becomes a challenge in January. We Are Family DC is specifically looking for donations of these food items, which will be distributed to those in need in the DC area:

  • Beans (canned)

  • Fruit (canned)

  • Pasta

  • Tomatoes or Tomato Sauce (canned)

  • Soup (canned)

  • Tunafish (canned)

  • Corn (canned)

  • Green Beans (canned)

  • Whole Grain Cereal (Box)

Be a Punk with Purpose by supporting our local artists and our community.

Dislaimer:

While we are dedicated to providing compassionate support to individuals who are committed to their journey towards mental health and stability, Transition House is not a crisis center and is unable to engage with individuals directly out of jail or exhibiting violent or consistent criminal behavior. We encourage those in immediate crisis to contact their local crisis center for urgent assistance.

Please note that Transition House does not provide addiction treatment services. Our clients adhere to prescribed medication as directed by their healthcare providers. Compliance with medication is essential for consideration in our housing programs, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all residents. For more information or assistance, please reach out to your local crisis center.
